XPeng Motors and Huawei Launch "Panoramic View" Head-Up Display with AR Lane-Level Navigation

On June 5th, XPeng Motors, in collaboration with Huawei's Qiankun division, launched the "Panoramic View" head-up display. Through three innovative scenarios, it achieves industry-first full-scenario AR lane-level navigation. Simultaneously, it addresses three major pain points of HUDs: unclear visibility, dizziness, and obstructions. Notably, the "Panoramic View" head-up display will debut on the XPeng G7.

It is understood that Huawei invested over 10 billion yuan in R&D, providing leading hardware support in key indicators, while XPeng leveraged its AI software advantages to achieve a comprehensive upgrade in the AR-HUD experience. This truly upgrades the traditional instrument information display to an intelligent assisted driving intent expression, making the AI perception, decision-making, and execution processes fully visible. This not only brings users a better AR-HUD experience but also greatly enhances driving safety and comfort.

AR Lane-Level Assist:

The key feature of the "Panoramic View" head-up display is its "industry-first AR light carpet." For the first time in the industry, navigation routes are "drawn" on real roads, constantly guiding drivers to the correct lane. The green light carpet perfectly conforms to the real road surface without drifting, covering all cities nationwide and accurately guiding drivers through complex intersections. This is thanks to XPeng Intelligent Driving's 3D OCC technology. The light carpet not only perfectly conforms to the road and provides a stable display, but also senses road slopes and the surrounding environment in real time, intelligently avoiding obstacles.

It also solves six core lane-changing scenarios (merging into the main road, road narrowing, changing lanes over long solid lines, changing lanes during construction, changing lanes due to accidents, and bus lane restrictions), providing accurate guidance even at roundabouts.
