Hyundai's Latest Hydrogen Fuel Cell Concept Car to Debut at Guangzhou Auto Show

On November 15th, Hyundai Motor will showcase a range of products from its hydrogen, electrification, and high-performance N brands at the 2024 Guangzhou International Auto Show, demonstrating its globally leading technological strength in the new energy field and its latest achievements in China. Among them, Hyundai's latest hydrogen fuel cell concept car, INITIUM, will make its first appearance in China since its global launch in October.

As a pioneer in the global hydrogen energy field, Hyundai Motor Group established a hydrogen fuel cell R&D department as early as 1998, beginning its in-depth exploration of hydrogen energy technology. Through 27 years of continuous breakthroughs and innovation, and a firm commitment to the development of hydrogen energy, Hyundai Motor Group possesses globally leading hydrogen energy technology and mature commercialization experience.

Thanks to its continuous investment in hydrogen energy, Hyundai Motor Group has achieved new technological breakthroughs in the field. It has developed clean hydrogen production technologies such as green hydrogen production and megawatt-level proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers to further reduce hydrogen production costs; and established a complete hydrogen logistics and transportation network to accelerate the commercial application of hydrogen energy. Meanwhile, to accelerate the global transition to a hydrogen society, Hyundai Motor Group is not limited to the research and development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. At CES in January 2023, it launched HTWO, a dedicated brand for its hydrogen energy ecosystem business, and built a complete hydrogen energy ecosystem solution covering hydrogen production, storage, transportation and application – HTWO Grid Solution, committed to realizing the hydrogen energy 2040 vision of "For Everyone, Everything, Everywhere".
